Kim’s third episode closes the story of a four-day boat trip across Indonesia that did not unfold as planned. Her published description says the expected manta-ray, whale-shark and waterfall stops did not happen, and that she and Dave would not recommend the tour they took.
The conclusion Kim chose to share
Kim describes this as the continuation and conclusion of the same journey covered in Parts 1 and 2. The source text is direct about the disappointment: anticipated wildlife encounters and the waterfall stop were missed, and the trip became one of their worst travel experiences.
This companion does not add a different verdict or identify an operator that Kim chose not to name. Watch the embedded episode for her own account of how the final part of the journey unfolded.
Read the three episodes as one story
Part 1 records the itinerary the family believed they were buying. Part 2 says the boat was stopped for three hours while the crew worked on the engine before the journey continued toward Pink Beach and Komodo National Park. Part 3 then closes the gap between those expectations and the outcome described by Kim.
Keeping those stages together matters. A missed stop, a delay and an overall recommendation are different claims, and each is attributed here to the published description for its episode rather than to a review of the footage.
Questions before a multi-day boat booking
Ask for the vessel’s name, recent photographs, sleeping arrangements, safety equipment, crew responsibilities and communication plan. Get the planned route in writing, including which stops depend on weather, wildlife or park access, and what happens if mechanical trouble changes the itinerary.
Confirm the cancellation, refund and alternative-transport terms before paying. Kim’s description suggests avoiding older boats and paying more for a better trip, but vessel age or price alone cannot establish condition, safety or service quality. These are editorial planning questions, not a certification of any operator or boat.
Compare a different Lombok boat day
Kim’s Secret Gilis episode documents a separate six-hour family outing in northeastern Lombok, organized through their hotel. It is useful as another source-grounded boat-trip account, but it was a different route and experience, not evidence about the multi-day cruise or a substitute for checking a current operator.
